Compensation & Benefits

$25.82–$47.50 per hour, with additional H&W per hour plus ability to earn a production/goal incentive. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Competitive Salary, Paid Time Off. Remote work available.

Responsibilities

You will conduct federal background investigations while preparing detailed reports that adhere to Federal Investigative Standards, laws, and agency regulations. Your role involves working on diverse cases throughout your geographic area of responsibility, traveling to employment locations, residences, and educational institutions. The position emphasizes flexibility and a high‑performance culture, encouraging forward‑thinking approaches and excellence.

Qualifications

• Active Top‑Secret Clearance required.
• Bachelor's Degree or a High School Diploma with at least 2–3 years of relevant experience (or 1–3 years on a Federal BI contract).
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally daily.
• Home office equipped with high‑speed internet and fax line; laptop provided by government customer.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to type extensive, detailed reports.
• Completion of National Training Standards course mandatory.
• Ability to conduct efficient, accurate investigations and meet quality, timeliness, and production metrics.
• Experience engaging with managers, contractors, U.S. Government organizations and law‑enforcement agencies to maintain cooperative relationships.
• Workload based on case availability; opportunities for multiple level candidates based on qualifications.
